Accountants Nightmare

It has been a lonely afternoon, and I wanted to do anything but edit photos from previous shoots (which I’ll post later) and I have started wondering what to do with something similar to these famous chef shots-where a chef is tied up and there are knifes thrown all over: well why not something a bit more different with the same sense of style?

This shot was done with a window light in my room: I have rearranged my room and now I get to do more shots with the window light. I have a little tack board in my room that I used for this specific shoot.

I put a pencil topper to predict an area around where the pins would go: this pencil topper also works to do a similar shadow for me when I resized myself to fit into the toppers.

The pencil topper had a shadow on the board that i used for myself when i put in my own self between the tacs. Also, the easiest way to combine photos was to have at least similar backgrounds so that the pixels will not be too different from the two different shots. So I used this brown paper wrapping thing as partial background for me.

Since accountants use computers these days, instead of a rope I used a computer cord to tie up my hands. I did tie myself up and my brother helped me out with putting the ends at the front of my hands so it will be visible to the camera.

That’s all: enjoy the Accountants Nightmare Shot –I might do other nightmares from other careers when the ideas will come :)

Christmas Heart

This photo idea generated from a heart commercial: they were selling vitamins for the heart. My original idea was also to include a person, opening a shirt where there was a heart: but there were no models available for immediate use.  But my new vision was doing the heart with the light and a regular light background.

Speaking from experience and my knowledge of some people, the feeling about Christmas and having a holiday spirit all comes from the heart. If you and I don’t have Christmas joy in our hearts- no matter how many trees and decorations we will have hung up: our spirits will not be joyous. We have to have our hearts from the inside deep down, be ready and decorated with hope and peace and joy for this glorious season.

This photo was a success from the 1st time I worked on it.

I got a apple to represent the heart in real-life. My apple was a similar to the shape of the regular heart that was like an image from the web that I have found.

I wrapped a couple of Christmas lights on a beige paper-because I thought that the original background will be this color-but as it turns out my pink hued background works better.

Working with the photo I also added some texture to add a little different hue in the photo.

I added the lights of different color to each light bulb in Photoshop. (I have used up all the colorful lights busy decorating the house.)

Simple and pretty awesome from the bottom of my heart!

Final Portfolio: Photo 148

Photographing for my final portfolio was a challenge that  I gladly accepted. My portfolio is based on commercial side so all of these images are supposed to sell the product that is in the photo.

Irina in a evening dress:

There is a place in downtown which I wanted to photograph Irina as she would be coming out of some evening gala, there is a white house with white steps and had beautiful lights: I know I drove by once and forgot to get down the address. The night before the shoot my photo session with my models I drove around downtown searching for that building and couldn’t find it: so my 2nd option was to do the session at Sacramento memorial auditorium.

It was also my first time using the portable lights-and lesson learned, even the portable lights need the electricity but I thought it comes with the battery. BUT in the end everything worked out and I got some of these amazing shots…

Yana dress session:

I wanted to do this shot for a very long time, and couldn’t find the time with Yana to do it when the light was just right. On a specially chosen day, we rode our bikes to the photo place that I love so much:: if anyone remember this was where I shot the “Princess” shot with Lily Oliferchuck.

The day was very cold but the ride to the scene warmed me and my model well so when she slipped into the summer dress she wasn’t very cold. The tree was overgrown with moss and everything looked very dreamy. My original idea, and it worked out: was that she is wearing this jungle dress, like a panther of some other African animal, that is lodging on the tree relaxing. I put the camera to a self-timer because I needed to use the reflector to lighten her face since it was away from the sun.

Olesea-Fashion shot:

Olesea is one of my most recent models and she is new to modeling for me. I wanted to do a shoot of especially her and a motorcycle because she has this edgy look that will be perfect for this fashion shot. My sister happily found 2 willing people who were able to provide motorcycles to do the fashion shot with.

I had these over-the-knee boots that I really wanted to include in the session since they would go perfect.  It was fun shooting with olesea, I came over to her house and we did the session right on the street. Since its dark there and not a lot of street lights and my 2 strobes had powerful flashes—a couple of neighbors from a couple of streets over drove by out shooting session: and they said they saw something flashing constantly and they wondered what was doing on…he-he.  We spent a good hour fooling around doing different poses and styles, and I enjoyed working with her.

Getting lightweight with balloons:

The inspiration hit me in the locker-room, while I was waiting for my jogging class.

I was in a need of a couple of more images for the final portfolio and needed something different from other ideas. And this what came to me: You know how some of us are more worried about the numbers on the scale and the size of the clothes we wear than how we actually feel being with that weight? Well why not helium balloons that will help to keep our weight off? It’s a funny kind of shoot: Balloons for every occasion. I have a small series for this and maybe over the break I will work them out during free time. The original photo of me I did as a self timer: I posed my little sister for focus and then after that I posed myself with a self timer. The other photos of the balloons were photographed by my brother: well he clicked the button that’s all.

Portrait: Taras::

I didn’t an original shot of my dad but it didn’t really work out the way I planned it, so instead later I did a shot of my brother. He enjoys working out and I thought it would be fun to show that off in an image.  At first I just did some wild shots of him so he will get comfy getting photographed and then I turned to the serious side of him. I wanted to show off his hands and the shoulder muscles, for that I used direct light behind him to cast good shadows on his arms and that will help to show off his muscular arms. I also used a reflector in the front of him to lighten up his face and his shirt. If I would have used the strobe in the front it took away that dramatic lightning from behind him. The original back scene was a piece of navy cloth and since I had a very limited space in my “studio” I couldn’t play around with getting the background dark enough.

Dashenka: the princess and the pea::

Anyone know the story of the princess and the pea? If not check it out here: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=princess+and+the+pea+summary+story&ei=UTF-8&fr=hp-pvnb

The whole image is about the awesome air mattress that even if the princess will have the pea under the mattress she will still be able to fall asleep.  The session was done at my house, my dad earlier in the summer made this portable studio backdrop stand: and I used that to put on curtains for the background. Yes, and I did drag out 3 mattresses from peoples beds: I mean you have to do what you have to do, right? We did a good couple of shots to that: during this shoot I didn’t actually have the strobes with me, but I used this powerful flashlight to highlight the mattress and the whole scene.  Dashenka was a doll during the whole session and she was pretty fun to work with.

Monster DrinK:

This picture didn’t actually made it to the final portfolio because according to my professor she didn’t get the whole idea: it’s ok, I get it: but I’m still posting it here because it was one of the hardest shoots I have ever done. 1st I had to find an expensive looking car, expensive and looking expensive so for those who don’t know which car is pricier than others, they would understand.

Thanks to Sergey Vorobets, he was the one who provided me with such a nice car: I had to take 2 girls to be my models and my brother who agreed to be my male model for the shot. The thing that was most difficult about the shoot was that I have never met Sergey in my life and neither have I met this brother-in-law who apparently had the car parked at his place. So, I was going there to meet a guy whom I talked only over the phone and to a scene that I didn’t know what it looked like. After a couple of good shots of the car from different vantage points I got to a certain place where I wanted to photograph my monster drink. (Also, I had only one strobe light so I had to choose very carefully where I placed it: since there were no other street lights on the street) My model girls were very cold waiting outside while I set up the scene so I got them into the car and they waited for me while I did last touch ups on the scene. In my original idea I wanted to have two girls exchanging a monster drink to the guy and in this exchange he will give away his “pricey” car. I know that this car doesn’t have original keys so I had to use mine, because they are more identifiable in a photo, of what the exchange is taking place. When I did the shot with the two girls, I saw that my eye leads more to them than to the whole exchange that’s taking place, so I chose one girl, I actually shot both girls separately but the younger one worked out a little bit better. After I did a couple of good fast shots of the girls they ran into the warm car and waited for me and Taras to pack everything up and go home.

Got Braces?

Well this one shot I had in mind also for quite a bit. I’ve been wearing my braces for such a long time—and am finally getting them off in January! Yay! ANYWAYS, the whole thing about wearing your braces for such a long time, and what best way to show time in a photo with braces? Fake teeth! Well I call them fake but professionally they are called dentures. Please! If you have a light stomach don’t read the rest of this behind-the-scenes session and move on to the next session::

Anyways, for those who are ok with this: the dentures are from my grams, I cloned the top part in some places-because if you would have seen the original shot I think even you would ruin your keyboard with throwing up. So I’m actually not going to show you this original image, BUT I’m gonna tell you this: I bought a big glass thing got the teeth in (I didn’t put them in) and poured water and did a couple of good shots of the teeth. Since this is glass I had to play around where I put the lights so that I won’t have flash and strobes reflecting in the glass. Then I posed myself: like u see my sister here: and did a couple of shots of my braces: I wont show you those either because I do have weird expression. BUT here is a short step-by-step: in how I did the photo:

In photoshop I fixed the teeth and the braces on the teeth and that’s the final image…

Watch:

I bought this awesome watch, and really, really wanted to use the gold cloth that goes really well with the watch, and that’s all. Simple image.

Peaches:

Canned peaches on a blue plate with a dark blue background. My also, had this on top of a short table and did many images from different directions.

Pumpkin Pie:

My idea was to use the pumpkin pie with the gold cloth but it didn’t really work out the way I wanted to. So I added a scarf as a background and some leaves, to add a comfortable and warm feeling, of autumn when eating the pie.

I do hope you enjoyed reading this, and liked some of my shots, any critique and opinions are always welcome, I will gladly accept them.

With Special thanks to: FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN!!!!

Fisherman’s Daughter

(click on the image to see it larger)

The precise location of this photo session was in Oroville, on Feather River. The first day of open season for salmon fishing! I personally enjoy going with my dad on his fishing trips. It’s fun to be by the water, and finding treasures of broken and sometimes lost hooks and different knick-knacks.

My little sister came with us and I had this image was implanted in my mind as soon as the trip was under way. I grabbed my sun-dress specifically for this photo shoot. I also got that fun looking fishing hat. The items that are tagged on the hat were added later at the scene. This image is somewhat close to my heart because at some small way I see myself like this when I went fishing when I was younger.

Diana, my sister was a natural model, saying it this way makes it sound like I posed her in such a way and she modeled for me. But truly this was her natural pose when I was getting ready to shoot, and it seemed so innocent and open that I left her standing just like that because she became a natural part of the photograph.

Somehow about her being so serious and looking up into the camera with those solemn eyes tell a really big story about what is happening in this picture. She is holding the net behind her with her hands intertwined with the net’s handle somehow to me gives a state of her standing there for such a long time that she became part of this net.  She crossed her legs, as if she will step a little closer to me and ask me what I was doing. In the background we see her dad, catching fish….

It was somewhat really hard to photograph this scene because the sun was setting and the light was limited, while at the areas where the light was really good the light there was coming through trees and made my sisters’ face look spotted rather than lit as a whole. I made her come closer into the shadows for me to see her face without any sunlight leaks.

So the small reality story behind this photo session. The original spot with my dad likes to fish was off limits this early in the season so we had to move farther down the stream to fish. My dad was kind of hopeless in catching fish, he said most likely he won’t catch anything. And I did wish that he would catch just something so we didn’t have to go home empty handed.

And that’s when he caught this funny looking fish, he said it was a really tasty one but all I saw was its very unique mouth.

Enjoy!

And next time anyone wants to come with us to fish for salmon (that we didn’t catch yet) you’re welcome to do so :)

Morning Glory Awakening

While the rest of the household was sleeping dead to the world…I ventured out in the beautiful morning for a self model photo idea.

Why a self model? I was awake at that time and knew exactly what I wanted out of the brand new idea that popped into my mind.

Originally this is an overgrown garden abandoned by the owners for the summer, and somehow the garden became polluted with the morning glories. On my venture I wore my comfy clothes and set out with my equipment:

My camera Nikon d300

Tripod

Hand mirror

Purple long cloth

Half a dozen of bobby pins

Garden key

As I made my way to the garden I saw that the clouds have covered the sun, and the sun peeked out once in a while. My venture also included looking out for early risers that would visit their neighboring gardens and wondering what in the world was I trampling through morning glory filled garden with a purple cloth?

As usual to every photo session comes a challenge. My 1st challenge was that the self remote I bought stopped working and I ended up using the self timer on the camera. The cameras self timer was at max of 20 seconds, this seems a lot but when I had to run barefoot through rough plowed dry earth I had about 4 seconds to position myself.

I have made a couple of trips back and forth trying out different scene settings but none of them came out unlike the original idea I have had. I almost gave up and was thinking about packing up and coming some other time but remembering so many other self artists and how they accomplished their work I went in for another try.

I posed just like I had in my head and it worked! One photo that I actually pre-visualized actually came out perfectly! Like it was a God-thing :)

I am actually planning to do some other scene shots there but I am thinking of working with a model this time, or maybe not….

Thanks for visiting!!!

The Princess

The princess.

That’s what I named this photo session. I was working with Lily, a true model. She commented later “it was worth watching ‘Americas Next Top Model’ show.”  Well I guess for her it was a plus. And I do want to make sure to say a HUGE thank-you to her. She’s been through a lot with me and all those places where I took her-no questions asked :)

The idea of a dress came to me some time ago. I knew I wanted a vintage dress to go for this shoot and I also knew whom I wanted to use to be the perfect character for the dress. Lily has beautiful long hair and when she curled it-wow made my toes curl with them! So as soon as an idea came to me I started working on the dress.

This is the first look before I added some puffs to make it more royal look to it.

One thing working with models is time! Time! Time! When they can make it-I cannot or the light is wrong or there is no sun or it’s raining when it’s supposed to be sunny something to do with time! :) BUT finally after a month of pre-timed appointments we’ve reached a decision when to do the photo session. I as usual love my photography place and it has many beautiful woodsy scenes where I love to explore.

It was a hot day; truly I thought that Lily will bake in that dress and with her hair down. Stomping through woods and walking on old logs and trees-where cyclists rode by and giving us weird looks-well these looks were for lily because she was in the wrong time period in that beautiful dress.

Her sweet sister Diana came with her to help her sister out and make sure that the wild photographer (mey) will not do harm. I had an assistant with me also this time MY younger sister  she was super patient with everything. This was also my 1st time I used reflectors in a photo session and I loved it! So from now on I will most likely use reflectors everywhere I go.

The main reason well the reason behind this photo session is for me to give a message to all the girls and ladies out there! I want every girl out there to know that she is a princess of God. For God loves her so much and created her in a unique way that’s just her mold and there is no other copy out there!!! Now one may say but I have some physical defects-so what?! That’s how you were created; and talk about that ‘defect’ with the Creator not some magazine or some famous beauty shows that will tell you how you should look and how you should act and what you should wear. That’s just people trying to define their own ‘version’ of beauty. And I don’t want to even hear the argument of the people who say there is not one single person that can be perfectly beautiful. Well who defines this perfection? Last time I heard from my photography professor, he said that “beauty in fashion world is symmetry” and it’s true if you don’t believe that. You can look at any magazine that will have a ‘beautiful’ person on a cover and most likely you will find that they have the most symmetric face out there. But even then it’s not perfect; you should know that not one face has two same eyes and the nose that’s perfectly straight. It’s truly impossible unless one gets cosmetic surgery or “Photoshop” surgery.

So anyways, you are beautiful princess of God, and you do not need to sell yourself with cleavage and acting something worse than what a true princess would do.

I do hope I made sense. I’m not much of a writer but a better photographer.

Fly, Fly, Away…

WRITING THIS ENTRY THE SECOND TIME SEEMS A LITTLE BIT FUNNY TO ME. USUALLY I write the first entry and post my final image of the photo session and I am done but this one didn’t sit well with me and I completely re-did the photo that I originally planned and put in more meaning and more mystery that I was trying to convey into the image. Well, the image as I said before is about spring. Spring is when everything is beautiful and flowers are blooming and nature becomes alive and colorful. Butterflies are such a delicate symbol of spring and the beauty that comes with it and when it all matures into summer and starts bringing fruit to the world in fall. Sitting here during summer; July already! I want to close this final image the door of spring. Somehow I cannot and couldn’t move on to the next project ideas until I have finished the photo session with Irina and closed that door to move on to something more out there in the future.

Butterflies have been fascinating me as long as I can remember, I have some butterfly ornaments that I hang in my car mirror and just butterflies that I use and plan to use in the future for different photo sessions and ideas that come up in time.

Now, why Irina as a model? Well she is truly my first ‘model’ that I used outside my comfort zone as one can say since I usually use either myself or my sister. So that was something “new” blooming in my photography career because I do not know where it will lead me yet-but I know that with Gods will and strength it will lead me somewhere where I will be able to use my talent and unleash all the ideas and influences that are inside me.

It’s such a late and crooked entry, that it makes me smile in this summer heat. Wow-I think my first model that earlier helped me out at a photo shoot and then such a late editing and entry and it all is about spring and unleashing what’s inside of us.

So go ahead world and those who are following my photography path-unleash yourself in whatever talent it might be, signing, art, photography as myself, scrapbooking, wood-working, music making or book writing, go for it with all your heart; it’s not too late to begin something unique that will bring happiness and smiles to those who are around you.

Now, this is my final entry of this photo session and I will close the door to it. Tomorrow and the days after that there will be new butterflies to unleash and to let go. Let’s go and create them.

Her Evening Majesty…

This photo session was very crazy! In the beginning I had a beautiful model to work with but she had caught on a stomach flu and couldn’t come last minute -when I was ready to go out to the photo session place. Just because I was in very photographic mood I decided since no one else is available and I really wantet to get the photo done that day I used myself as a model. As my brother would comment it was a swampy stinky place. Now why in the world would I want to visit such an area? Well because of a photo idea :) of course! SO- this photo is what it is.

There are no explanations that needed to be added in words in this blog for the image. I had the biggest and at the same time the shortest crew out there.

I had my brother for security purposes my mom visited with me and my youngest sister with her 3 friends aging from 5 or 6 year old to 10. They were so excited going with me that they were running around and squealing the whole way that triggered some random homeless dog run out and happily lick one of the youngest girl’s who became terrified of the dog and started screaming her lungs out which caused a homeless lady to come yelling for her dog to return to her which brought a park ranger drive up to the girls and see what was all the commotion about…

And while amongst all of this commotion I was wearing my favorite whale boots walking in this swampy muck placing delicate candle holders that I made earlier in the day into the water.

The candle holders had lighted candles to float. A huge thank-you to my brother Taras, he helped me light all the candles and actually took photos from the camera because my remote ran out of battery power. Technically this photo was taken by my brother since he pressed the button. Bu the positioning and the editing and everything else were done by me. Enjoy!!!

Lift up your face

This image was an inspiration from a song I really like “By your side” –>

http://youtu.be/J95rAr0gOFU

Please turn on the melody/movie and read the rest of the blog and see the image this way.

I have wanted to do this image about half a year ago when I first heard the lyrics the exact image that I had in my mind was photographed this way -when I listened to this melody. Like some bursts of energy this how the photo session came all together. My sister Yana (as you know so far the primary model) was getting ready for work but I just had to intervene and ask her to do this image because otherwise the passion will be gone and I will not be able to re-capture what was in my mind. The set up of the photo session was quite simple. I grabbed the necessary items of what I had on hand… and got straight to work. I normally use my black sheet backdrop, but I couldn’t find it so my mothers’ vest made a do for the backdrop.

Was testing the light while yana did her hair :D

As spontaneous my sister is, she agreed to model for me for this image. I made quick arrangements for the song to be playing when Yana was to do her hair so she will get into a mood. I have found that the best way to get into a mood of any sort it’s with melody or music. We are such interesting souls.

Yana did her own hair this time and while that was happening I have clipped off some dry roses for her hair decoration; that I wanted and still am planning for another big shoot that I will be working on in a week or two.

SO, we got the melody going, Yana’s hair was done, and we have found the proper attire for her to wear for the shoot. Now the hardest part was to model something so close to heart while have one’s brother hold up one’s face. We tried many times to have the pose be touching but as soon as I would shoot an image- one of my siblings would laugh for it was a funny matter to them and we would have to start all over again.

We also needed her to cry. Sounds pretty evil making my sister cry! We tried onions and no matter how we worked them it didn’t do the trick. I was kind of desperate for some tears, anything-but I couldn’t think of any way to do it than too sprinkle water on her but my sister found a better way and the secret weapon-eye reliever-now those were the tears we needed!

My sister says that this image looks like it is the perfect crying photo, and in real life people don’t cry without having their faces red and blotchy-and I truly didn’t and wasn’t planning to have the “perfect” crying photo-no, what I wanted is to have the subject realize what it meant that Jesus hold us by His side when things go wrong and it’s hard to move on. And that we shouldn’t look for LOVE outside of HIS comfort, like so many people do today.

And when that realization will hit; one will have just a small trace of tears running down the face and no more anguished hurt.

I hope I made sense “D

Literature

Because of the recent rains in California, especially in the valley-I have come upon a beautiful place where an idea had sprung to create an image.  The main theme of this image is to show how earthly literature is different from the Bible.  Noting as well, that Bible is not just a “regular book”. Since I am not gifted with writing perfectly; I have found an article/blog-that explains the whole concept of this  Bible:

“The question we must ask ourselves is how can we know that the Bible is the Word of God and not just a good book? What is unique about the Bible that sets it apart from all other religious books ever written? Is there any evidence that the Bible is truly God’s Word?

There are both internal and external evidences that the Bible is truly God’s Word. The internal evidences are those things within the Bible that testify of its divine origin. One of the first internal evidences that the Bible is truly God’s Word is seen in its unity. Even though it is really sixty-six individual books, written on three continents, in three different languages, over a period of approximately 1500 years, by more than 40 authors who came from many walks of life, the Bible remains one unified book from beginning to end without contradiction. This unity is unique from all other books and is evidence of the divine origin of the words which God moved men to record.

Another of the internal evidences that indicates the Bible is truly God’s Word is the prophecies contained within its pages. The Bible contains hundreds of detailed prophecies relating to the future of individual nations including Israel, certain cities, and mankind. Other prophecies concern the coming of One who would be the Messiah, the Savior of all who would believe in Him. Unlike the prophecies found in other religious books or those by men such as Nostradamus, biblical prophecies are extremely detailed. There are over three hundred prophecies concerning Jesus Christ in the Old Testament. Not only was it foretold where He would be born and His lineage, but also how He would die and that He would rise again. There simply is no logical way to explain the fulfilled prophecies in the Bible other than by divine origin. There is no other religious book with the extent or type of predictive prophecy that the Bible contains.

A third internal evidence of the divine origin of the Bible is its unique authority and power. While this evidence is more subjective than the first two, it is no less a powerful testimony of the divine origin of the Bible. The Bible’s authority is unlike any other book ever written. This authority and power are best seen in the way countless lives have been transformed by the supernatural power of God’s Word. Drug addicts have been cured by it, homosexuals set free by it, derelicts and deadbeats transformed by it, hardened criminals reformed by it, sinners rebuked by it, and hate turned to love by it. The Bible does possess a dynamic and transforming power that is only possible because it is truly God’s Word.

There are also external evidences that indicate the Bible is truly the Word of God. One is the historicity of the Bible. Because the Bible details historical events, its truthfulness and accuracy are subject to verification like any other historical document. Through both archaeological evidences and other writings, the historical accounts of the Bible have been proven time and time again to be accurate and true. In fact, all the archaeological and manuscript evidence supporting the Bible makes it the best-documented book from the ancient world. The fact that the Bible accurately and truthfully records historically verifiable events is a great indication of its truthfulness when dealing with religious subjects and doctrines and helps substantiate its claim to be the very Word of God.

Another external evidence that the Bible is truly God’s Word is the integrity of its human authors. As mentioned earlier, God used men from many walks of life to record His words. In studying the lives of these men, we find them to be honest and sincere. The fact that they were willing to die often excruciating deaths for what they believed testifies that these ordinary yet honest men truly believed God had spoken to them. The men who wrote the New Testament and many hundreds of other believers (1 Corinthians 15:6) knew the truth of their message because they had seen and spent time with Jesus Christ after He had risen from the dead. Seeing the risen Christ had a tremendous impact on them. They went from hiding in fear to being willing to die for the message God had revealed to them. Their lives and deaths testify to the fact that the Bible truly is God’s Word.

A final external evidence that the Bible is truly God’s Word is the indestructibility of the Bible. Because of its importance and its claim to be the very Word of God, the Bible has suffered more vicious attacks and attempts to destroy it than any other book in history. From early Roman Emperors like Diocletian, through communist dictators and on to modern-day atheists and agnostics, the Bible has withstood and outlasted all of its attackers and is still today the most widely published book in the world.

Throughout time, skeptics have regarded the Bible as mythological, but archeology has confirmed it as historical. Opponents have attacked its teaching as primitive and outdated, but its moral and legal concepts and teachings have had a positive influence on societies and cultures throughout the world. It continues to be attacked by pseudo-science, psychology, and political movements, yet it remains just as true and relevant today as it was when it was first written. It is a book that has transformed countless lives and cultures throughout the last 2000 years. No matter how its opponents try to attack, destroy, or discredit it, the Bible remains; its veracity and impact on lives is unmistakable. The accuracy which has been preserved despite every attempt to corrupt, attack, or destroy it is clear testimony to the fact that the Bible is truly God’s Word and is supernaturally protected by Him. It should not surprise us that, no matter how the Bible is attacked, it always comes out unchanged and unscathed. After all, Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Mark 13:31). After looking at the evidence, one can say without a doubt that, yes, the Bible is truly God’s Word.”  Here is where I got it from-http://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-God-Word.html

                                             —————–BEHIND THE SCENES———–

This photography expedition was a little bit different for me. Usually in previous images the only workers whom I had with me was my model (sister) and myself.  Sometimes by brother or my youngest sister helped me out with the shoot.

BUT-this image-I have invited my art education major cousin Ira! At 7:20am she came to my house. Her assignment was to work on the models’ hair and then to help out with the actual shoot. The hair style came out actually pretty cool and much better (in my opinion) than our other attempted hair-do’s for previous shoots.

Packing up we went to the original site where I wanted to do an image. That place was supposed to be flooded, unfortunately the water there dried. Because of my ruined first location choice- we went scouting for another. I chose to do morning shots to create a certain mood to an image.

The coldness of the water at our new discovered place made us work fast because I did not want the model to be cold. We dressed Yana up and wrapped her boots and legs with trash bags to minimize her contact with water.

Then we ripped some old books apart to have them floating on water-as a representation of other books.

We also created some fog-thanks to Irina who was actually helping us do that!

Unfortunately while Yana was walking around in the water she might have snagged some branches that made holes in the bag causing her boots to fill with water.

All in all at the end, we collected all the lose pages from the books and left the scene untouched J AND (Irina if you are reading this-welcome to our team!!!)
